This project is a personal exploration of my love for independent and used bookstores in Chicago. As someone who enjoys visiting local bookstores as a hobby, I wanted to capture each store's unique charm and character through 35mm film photography. The result is a visual scrapbook, where each bookstore is given its spread, complete with photos and collected memorabilia like bookmarks and stickers. For me, bookstores are more than just places to buy books—they are community spaces filled with stories on the shelves and in their atmosphere. This project celebrates the individuality of these beloved spots, preserving their essence in a tactile, nostalgic way.
